imageinfo: Tarragon, also known as dragon's wort, is a green leafy herb, usually used as a spice or seasoning. It has a sweet flavor, somewhat similar to anise. A good source of vitamin A and potassium.

storage:
Freeze tarragon & use as needed. There is no need to thaw.

preparation: Strip leaves from stems. Chop to desired size/consistency.

To best utilize its flavor & fragrance, add near the end of making a recipe. It goes well with salads, sauces, dressings, soups, stews and fish dishes.

Note: fresh tarragon has a much stronger flavor than dried and can easily overpower recipes - use a light touch.
